Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. To put it in perspective, Sean Connery is going to be 81 years old this year (born in 1930) but his replacement in the Bond series,Roger Moore, might make 84 this year (born in 1927). Grew up watching these guys as Bond. I think Connery used a P.38 in Goldfinger (I think he took it from a Guard when he was locked up)? No Lugers in the actual movies that were used by Bond but I remember seeing them in the Precredits that were famous in those series. I do remember seeing a Luger in For Your Eyes Only but it was used by the bad guys.

Happy belated Birthday Ted. It is a privilege to know you and admire your work.

Happy Birthday, Kid. Glad I bumped into you and looking forward to knowing you better. In 1954 I was dunking the ends of little Debby B's pigtails into the inkwell in the front of my desk in P.S. 106 and responding to "duck and cover" drills. The were the best of times, they were the worst of times.
