Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with some items that I have an opportunity to bid on. So if anyone one could help me with what the prices should be on these items that would be great. |

Can't say about the rest but the Enlisted Medical Hewer, if it has a scabbard is in the $700-900 range depending on condition.
You may find firther info on this site.. http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/index.php Jerry Burney |

thanks everyone, what about the medical hewer without a scabbard? What about this bayonet it is currently at sixty dollars?
Again thanks everyone for your expertise. I just see shiny things and want them even though I do not know anything about them. |
Also be aware that Carcano's reportedly have a random habit of shearing firing pins. The result is that they can blow it straight back out of the bolt and into the shooter's face.

Ed, The Medical Hewer is a crap shoot without the scabbard, I would guess it might go for $350+ unless someone has a scabbard and no hewer and is after it.
The Nazi Eagle you show is a Police Shako Emblem. I would buess $100-125. There might be fakes of these. Did you go to the WA Forum? Jerry Burney |

Ed, This Police Shako has no patina...I am no expert on these but I don't like the looks of it or the hardware attached. Looks too new to me.
At WA you can search out say POLICE SHAKO EMBLEM and all the posts concerning it will appear even if you cannot post I beieve. It's a great site to research TR items. Jerry Burney |
Jerry, I tend to agree with you on the police shako, but I took a chance on it. I could have went up there Thurs. to preview the auction with my parents, just did not have the time. My Dad said the guy was 83, he and his wife were selling everything and moving into assisted living. So if it is fake I only paid $45.00 for it, and it's going to the couple so I do not mind. Plus I got a nice Remington Rand 1911 from another estate sale from this aution house at what I think was a real good price. As for the Medical Hewer I got it for less than what you said it might go for. Missed the flag, but oh well. I will tell my parents to ask if he was a vet and if they were bring backs. I got that bayonet too so, I will post pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested
Thanks to all who helped Ed |

I fear we have had a severe adverse effect on poor Tac. We had better do a bubba-ectomy on him before it gets any worse. |
