Three DWM Unit Marked LP.08's
 

Presented are three DWM Unit Marked LP.08's. First up is a 1915 chamber dated LP.08 s/n 8994. Here is the left side view.

S/N on barrel and frame.

An "oh so close!" serial numbered magazine. I just happened to have this prior to purchasing the pistol.

Regimental mark on front grip strap.

Right panel grip showing grip panels are numbered to pistol.

Oh, and matching stock.

Up second is a 1916 chamber dated LP.08 s/n 5946. Here is the left side view.

Regimental mark on bottom front grip strap, "111.E.7". I had posted this one back in July '05. Got a group consensus on the "E" at NAPCA, TN '05.

Boy thats a shame someone marked them all up. Tell you what I will give you a good deal on all three. Hows $1,000 heck someone drilled holes in the stock, probably termites so you better get it out of your house fast.

To what are you referring to, Paradox998? If you are referring to the '15 with the matching stock, yes they were acquired together.

bragging is fun isn't it? Nice going on your purchase. Your halfway there in having a set. You only need a 1914 DWM & Erfurt and a 1918 and you will have the cycle. I doubt that there are any 1918's with unit marks though. Then when you get that, you will have to get the holsters with the appropriate dates. The search continues. But your well on your way.

Thank you for your kind replies. Ok...now that I'm awake. I've had these pieces for a "while". They were acquired/purchased separately. Norm, would I like to complete the set? Absolutely! but...when '14 DWM LP.08's pop up, well, we've all seen the price tags. Same with the '18's. I wasn't trying to brag...well, maybe a little :D . I've been lucky. I haven't made too many mistakes and the ones I did weren't expensive. I also have some excellent collector friends to call on for second opinions.

I met Ron Wood at this year's NAPCA convention in TN. I've been a Luger Forum member for a while but seldom posted. Ron Wood encouraged me to start posting more on the forum.
