CMR Luger Rig from England.?

Hey Guys....Im looking at the Luger Holster..Ammo Pouch..& Sling Rig that is offered from CMR in England......Has anyone purchased one of those and what is your impression after receiving it..?..Im got a 6" Interarms Luger that I would love to get a holster for it.........and they "look good" ...just wondering what they are like once they are in hand.?....I appreciate anyone taking the time to give me their ideas.......Thanks....Hans Fischer

They are not worth the money in my opinion, the stock iron won't fit your luger without a lot of work. I have a nice repo brown leather holster I would sell for $35 plus shipping if you would be interested.

For a 6" barrel, this would be a better choice and without a stock. http://www.cmrfirearms.com/shop/prod...fbaf661d5c69d9
It also comes in black.

CMR Luger Holster

Im just interested in the Holster and Mag Pouches....and the sling........speaking of that.....that has got to be the most Unusual way of carrying a holster Ive seen.....it looks as if the sling goes in the back of the holster & mag pouch through TWO areas......does anyone have any experience or comments on the way these holsters were carried..?.......Im not quite sure what was meant about "Iron" matching..??...but then Im really a novice collector......only have my DWM 1918 with the 6" barrel that Luger Doc did for me.....(Thanks again Tom.!)...and then my Interarms Mauser with the 6" barrel........Im just curious about how the Holsters were carried........comments anyone..??....I appreciate it.....Hans Fischer

Hi Hans, "Graduation" photos like these were taken on completion of basic training. They come up for sale on Ebay from time to time, you just have to be patient. I've built up a small collection of them over the years, but they have gotten expensive, over $100.00 most of the time.
Hi Rich, Those aren't barrels you see, they are the iron ends of the stocks to which the holsters are attached.
Regards, Norm

Rich, those are not the barrels sticking out of the holsters..what you are seeing is the latch end of the board stock sticking out below the leather holster. This is how the rig was set up and how it looks from the front...

Thanks Norm & Doug! I was looking at the pic of the holster that I posted from CMR, and noticed that the bottom of the holster seemed to be removable...and wondered why...(I'm still wondering)... :p

I didn't even think of the board stock...

But now that you posted the graduation pics, what are these sailors??? Some kind of WW II VBSS troops??? Pistols, cutlasses...

they are on ebay all the time. I see them several times a month///

Hi Rich, The rig you posted is an Artillery, not a Navy. The Artillery rig has a stock boot (a detachable cover for the stock iron), the Navy rig does not. Most of my "graduation photos" are dated 1914 and 1915. Regards, Norm

The stock and cleaning rod isn't included for $99. For a 6" barrel gun, for $99 I would suggest this one (also without a stock).

$99 bucks is a lot of money in India or China...

...And I doubt that these are made in England... :p

Harry, do you have first hand experience of one of these rigs? If so, please tell us about it. Regards, Norm

All the info I have I got from George Fortier, he bought one and warned me before I bought one. He said they are junk, neither iron will fit your luger. George doesn't like to post, but he will answer all your questions if you call him.
