Love it!!!

Is this our new trend here, posting *piles* of Lugers?

I could really get into this one.

MFC 02-05-2008 01:52 AM

Beleive it or not:
If you lay them end to end... They'd reach all the way back to Germany.

A.Mifsin 02-05-2008 03:02 AM

Hi Ron, they are simple fantastic, you started my day on a very good note to day.:D . thanks.
Am I right, on the right side bottom, second photo there is a Jager Pistol ( 2nd Var.I think ) and it is blued.
I have one, but is in the white because the blueing is all gone, I read that to find a blued Jager is nearly imposible, is that true, yours it looks like it is in good conditon.

...And did y'all notice that one Luger with the extra large hole in the barrel?

Ron got that .45 Luger in trade for a small country he used to own, and a small pile of greenbacks.

Seriously Ron - its about time you published your "Lugers of Ron Wood" coffee table book and the associated screen saver.

Since you must be dusting out the safe anyway, get that camera cranking on your photo essays of each one. PLEASE.

Ron Smith 02-05-2008 09:42 AM

Huh...! About the only thing I've ever found at flea markets...is fleas.

Nice bunching...;) Some nice Lugers and other assorted goodies.

Frank 02-05-2008 01:36 PM

Ron, nice!! But a bunch of pre-production Lugers! I'm glad you have a few nice after market pistols!! :D

MikeP 02-05-2008 02:22 PM

Almost looks like the old days of gunshows.
You need a couple chromed ones with stag or plexiglass grips to round things out.

mauro 02-05-2008 02:39 PM

Woow!!!!

paradox998 02-05-2008 11:12 PM

What a collection! Is there a 12 step program for Luger envy?

wdavid431 02-06-2008 08:16 AM

Wow, Wow, Wow. Never seen so many Lugers at one time in one place.
Fantastic.

Ron Wood 02-06-2008 12:06 PM

Alfred,

Yes, it is a J¤ger. It is a first variation (one-pin) serial number 4109. It has a correct but mismatched magazine with the little takedown spur. It is a commercial model without Imperial acceptance marks (only 18 have been reported with military acceptance marking). If you go by the highest serial number reported, there were approximately 13,000 produced, but to date only 78 have been reported. So, if you have a J¤ger, blued or unblued, you are very fortunate.

I would like to add the serial number of your J¤ger to the database if you would be so kind. I would also like to know if it is a one-pin or two-pin variation and if it bears Imperial acceptance marking. Thank you.
Ron

Ron,
My Jager is first varation like yours serial no 2417 with lazy crown over N (commercial) that is the only mark I have, the magazine is the corret type with the little takedown spur, but no number.
I am trying to close a deal on another Jager the second variation (2 Pins) which has Imperial acceptance marks and matching magazine, I will post you the inforamtion if I close the deal.
Alfred.

Ron Wood 02-07-2008 09:15 AM

Great photo, and you have added another serial number to the database!
Thank you! Good luck on acquiring the second one.
Ron
