Eric,
I must admit to being a silent reader as well. I save the visit to your thread until last every day, so that I'll have a chance to explore what you've found--after reading the usually more academic topics in the other sections. Your thread is coming up on 100 pages soon--a testimony to your tireless efforts and Luger dedication. Keep up the good work, my friend! |
If Dave, Aldo and Sergio were my only readers I would still do it and you keep me going! I've learned so much by posting these topics. I am forced to type with one finger but it took but one finger to pull a trigger that started one world war and the push of another 30 year later to end another~ I love the research! Luger treasure hunting. With a mere 'luger' search opens years and their effect on all the past and present! Its unlike a newpaper that recounts the events of today and not the past!. Luger are pure and never lose their appeal. They bring with them an examination of human drama well over a hundred years. Owners like us love them, trade them and as now have a very sacred relation for us all! Today they bring us together and cement decades of friendship which has already out lived two of my marriages. Thanks again for always being there as always!!

The reason these prints are so vivid was Kodachrome. Even Simon and Garfunkel made a popular song about it~ It was discontinued in 2010~Digital Death! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodachrome And a wonderful video clip on the film! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZpaNJqF4po

Eric, Perhaps here there is a mistake, or maybe I'm wrong, BUT from1908 to 1910 Bulgaria bought 1250 New Models 7,65 Para , not "Old Model" as that site specifies. In fact the picture represents a New Model; then later in 1910 Bulgaria signed another contract with DWM for the supply of a batch of 10k P.08 9mm (picture of mine enclosed) Ciao, Sergio |
Sergio, I know nothing about Bulgarians.I'll do some more research, Gracious Amie~
