pictures!

Thanks David, glad you enjoyed the journey! :)....Yes, the pics are exactly backwards! (fix'ed it!!) But, one can tell from the scale readings and coil tension what is supposed to be happening...Anyway, you no longer have to guess at what is happening inside the drum mag any more... It looks just like the pictures! Thanks again, and best to all! til....lat'r......GT....

I found this thread while searching for LP.08 leather patterns to make the leather holster parts that accompany the holster itself, carry strap, end cup & strap, main over top strap (the one held with 4 screws on the stock) etc. ... I didn't find those but I spent the next few hours thoroughly enjoying GT's perilous adventure into snail drum spring manufacture.

We are so lucky to have such a magnificent group of craftsmen willing to share there expertise and who DOCUMENT same for this forums posterity.

Thank you so much GT ... I am so impressed with your skills and persona.

PS: anyone with the patterns im looking for I would appreciate your assistance.

Spangy, I am likely the only source for an accurate pattern of an artillery boot. Dimensions for the other leathers required for the Artillery can be found in Bender's book. Luger Holsters & Accessories.

Thanks Jerry - cirelaw

My intentions were not to hijack this thread but rather point it out via 'new posts' so that the newer members could read GT's perilous adventure into snail drum spring manufacture.

This thread is fantastic and is a very well written & documented adventure that no one should miss reading IMO.

Again thank you so much GT ... outstanding.
