Today Great News, After 6 months since the last scan the cancer did not spread to any other organ!! YA!

Lyn Islaub 04-26-2022 06:35 PM

That's great news Eric. All the best to both of you.
Lyn

cirelaw 04-26-2022 09:09 PM

We have learned allot from this experiance! It must be caught early before it infects other organs! The outcome is catching it early. Never too early. Her first sign was blood in her stools. By then it had spread to her liver and bowels, Stage Three!!! 10% survival rate. Thank God that morning she went to the hospital. Debby was in luck was treat by one of the top Cancer Doctors. Just today a CT Scan found no cancer in her liver or bowels!! She Will Live! Still needs to continue treatment to prevent return!! Thank You God and all of you for your help and prayers! It appears they worked!! Ten years ago, I Would have lost her~~ps make sure you health insurance because her bill to Humana is over over $1,million dollars and copay only one hundred! Even though her cancer is undetectable, she has to stay on chemo to be safe, God Bess The Healers!

Kudos to anyone who can identify my first.

gunbugs 05-07-2022 11:15 AM

That would be a Borgward Isabella. Late 50's probably, but hard to tell the year as they didn't change much.

lugerholsterrepair 05-07-2022 01:41 PM

Borgward Isabella

Mac Cat 05-07-2022 01:45 PM

Indeed, and a 1950's car I have never even heard of !

Timeless design. You could park that in my local mall parking lot and not a head would turn. ;)

gunnertwo 05-07-2022 06:36 PM

Not so, oh Herder of Sheep! My head would turn, probably because, like many here, I have years and miles on my chassis!

This was fun, and I'm glad to see how many IDs popped up. Thanks.

1959 Borgward Isabella I bought for a hundred bucks from my then future father-in-law in 1967. Basic liability insurance for the year cost me twice that!

It had 4 on the column. its 650/13 tires were the size on the front pages of tire company sale flyers and ads turned out to be, once you read the small print related to that "low-low" price.

I had it on the road twice, either side of the 62 Rambler my dad thought I should have. Summer of 1969, I met a guy with a 1960 Mercedes 220SB. The Benz had a couple of issues and more northern NY rust, but we swapped even-up. I'd become apprehensive about the availability of repair parts, since Borgward was forced into bankruptcy in 1961. (Reminds me of a certain pistol...) A mutual mechanic friend pronounced it the only deal he'd ever seen in which both parties got s*rewed.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread, Eric. Forgive my over-enthusiasm to jabber about cars I've owned. I hope Debbie continues to do well.

My first. That's me at 19 in the first photo. Bought it from a farmer's field with chickens roosting on it. Spent a couple of years cleaning it up, dated my future wife in it and drove it through college. Still have it.

SETBACK~ Two nights ago Debby tried to get out of and because of pain she lost balance, striking her head on the hard floor~ She was rushed to our local hospital than transferred to Lawnwood Hospital in case if she needed emergency brain surgery. A CT scan showed bleeding on the outside on the brain.. She was mumbling her words, similar to a stroke. She was lucky they stopped the bleeding needing no surgery. 2 days later the stopped the bleeding and she now talks normally. They caught it in time!, Four days in critical care unit! All is well at present. They are also treating the pain that made her fall in the first! No idea when she will be released and back to cancer care! I Hate Close Calls! God Bless Thanks For Al Your Support! PS Its weird at night sleeping alone~~~~ Eric
