Hang on Eric!!! Help is on the way!!!
Here's a pic of the airport at Mogadishu, where the grateful residents of Somalia are eager to help their American benefactors from their own catastrophe!!! ;) Relief volunteers are shown offloading former members of the ruling regime to make way for the tremendous mountain of donated foodstuffs (shown in the foreground) for shipment to the storm-ravaged towns in Florida... |
Wrong Country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe there's some truth to all that global warming talk, ya think?

Eric,
Give Debby a well deserved hug for all of us. It is good to hear that you survived Irma. I guess you are being proactive by keeping the shutters up until December. Does this mean your 84 year old neighbor will be with you until then. |

Many are clearly not so fortunate.... |
A Great Wife Helps!!! Thank you!

I'm so lonely. Usually I have a favorite luger on my lap or side and now all I have are 3 blue tupperware containers. Thank God I have Jans' books but they only remind me how much I miss them! Debby says "Take a Valium" Good Idea!!
|
I can only imagine...
|
I better take two!! TKS
|
Eric,
So glad to hear you and your family are safe and allright. Cheers. |
6.5 million here in Florida without power! We are lending out our 2 generators to any neighbors without power~
|
Irma has come and gone
Well, I guess we will have to buy the "I survived Irma tee-shirt."
Power and Internet came back on about 30 minutes ago. Lost both Sunday around 5 PM. 100MPH winds. No surge to speak of. No damage to house or boat. Lots of tree branches down but nothing serious. Could have been a lot worse. Lots of praying going on here. Sure paid off. |
WOW!!
Very good to hear :) |
Great but the keys are a mess!I lived on Big Pine and that got the worse. We said a prayer of thanks together. Those hot long gas lines! We take so much for granted until nature kicks our ass! Is there anywhere in our country immune from natural disaster! Maybe Jerrys' house?
|
2 5500 generators running, hope it doesn't take a week to restore power as Duke energy is forecasting. Time to upgrade to a 12kw I suppose. Hope my fellow Floridians are well.
|
God Bless!

If you are renting or purchasing a home in Florida, make sure its new and has underground utilities. Debbys' 2 friends don't and are still out! We took the tops off a few of the metal slots for light but not the rest till next month. Now some law, If you lease or rent the cost which was $500 for putting up taking down the responsibility of the owner in Florida and I'm sure everywhere! One happy break!! Eric
|
Lifer, where in Fl do you live? We're still out Duke is saying fri/sat
|
We live in Port St Lucie on the east coast, 15 miles east of the ocean and right under Ft Pierce north of West Palm and Jupiter! Part of town still are without power! Those with undergroud lines have power!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_St._Lucie,_Florida
