1400.00 fair price if everythings kosher. matched numbers etc. 500-700 for a mismatch or reblue or more if you want depends on how much your fixin to spend. And even if its not a war widow a fair price should be given to anyone in my humble opinion new collector , nostalgic one timer , or a collector on a bad day. not saying your scamming anyone but just wanted to make sure war widows werent the only ones scratched off the list:). You will need to disassemble both guns completely and take hi def pics of all marks and letters in and out if you want these guys to give you a proper value. If you see a marking , number or letter snap a pic. |
I tried to take a picture of the marks, this is at a auction so i am trying to asses what to bid on it, does that make it more clear what im trying to do?
So i should bid $1400 on each one? As that is what it is worth? |
Assuming the internals match. And if they dont then 500$?
|
If you cant see the internal numbers its a gamble. I believe the experts are saying 1400 for a quick resale on a matching numbered gun.
Looking at the pic s again the s42 is a mismatch Its in good shape I would top out at 800 for a pristine ww2 pistol like that but it aint a collector unless its an armorer replacement or something I dont know enough to speculate , personally I would top out at 800 and call myself lucky if I got it or didnt. good luck |
Well yea i can decide how high to bid once i establish what they are worth, $1400 for each off them or just the s/42?
|
the s 42 has a mismatch side plate meaning its probably not collectible and in the shooter category 500-however much you want to spend.
|
So a solid $1400 value on the BYF?
|
You would need detailed pics of the insides. It might be a matched number but a part from the wrong year gun or something.
