Why do you suppose it forced the goggle DOWN on the frame? Location of the pivot pin in relation to the line of the bore, slight angle on the face of the bolt, etc? dju |
David, Since the center toggle axel lies BELOW a line drawn thru the forward & rear axels, recoil forces the toggle down, until the "ears" are cammed up by hitting the frame, causing the toggle action to open. This causes no pressure on the toggle lock as the toggle part has already moved off of the frame part, before the ears hit the frame and are lifted. TH
