Not an option...The trees are much higher than my 2-story house...

The FAA would require me to put a flashing light on that tower...[First pic]... :(

Getting back to the barrel...Second pic shows the front sight blade shortened and rounded. I chose to copy the Colt Gold Cup blade profile, which has the front sight blade cut at a 1º angle.

Third pic shows the side and top view of the finished barrel, with Mauser carbine sight installed. At this time, I have not decided whether to shorten the rear sight leaf or leave it at the 1400 meter extent. :rolleyes:

Fourth pic shows the barrel ready to install. The original barrel extension has been used on another project, so this barrel will be stored until such time as a suitable barrel extension and toggle train can be found. :)
