Hi Dav,
Thank you for the help.
Your Mauser Parabellum is a real early production. Your gun is the 821st Mauser Parabellum made.
I would like to know if the double dot pattern (11.00.xxxx) is available on both the complete serial numbers present on the pistol or only for the serial number on the frame.
Thank you.
Cheers,
Mauro

The serial numbers read as follows.
Slide 11 001821
Frame 11.00.1821

"FBM" on a few places also.

Now my gun was #821 or #1821??

Mauro,

The Mauser Parabellum I just bought won't be here till tomorrow or the day after, but the number is:
11.014264 , numbers match.
This is a 6" non-Swiss style grip with the American Eagle, but I'm guessing you already knew that.
I would appreciate anything you can tell me about it, but I knew you want to keep track of these, so there it is.

Dav,
Your gun has a dual dot pattern serial number. This is tipical of the first production. In fact before Mauser made the frames and they are marked with the old dual dot patter. Then, for any reason, the dual don patter was not usd anymore but, of course, the "old" frame were used.
The first commercial 29/70 in 9mm is numbered 11.001001 therefore your pistol is the 821st made by Mauser.

David, thank you for the info.
When you receive the gun please let us know fi si dated or if you have the test target dated.
Cheers,
Mauro

Mauro,

I received nothing but the gun and magazine. No box, papers or target.

Any idea what year this was made?

davidkachel 03-27-2007 03:05 PM

Now I'm really confused:
How does 11.014264 minus 11.001001 become 821?

mauro 03-27-2007 04:46 PM

Hi David,
I was replying to another David that posted before you (pistol with serial number 11.00.1821).
I guess you understand how manage the Mauser serial number. It is enought keeping in mind that the first pistol is number 1001.
For the .30 luger the first pistol is numbered 10.001001 for the 9mm 11.001001. Therefore 10 codifies the .30luger pistol and 11 the 9mm.
Have fun
Mauro

So mine would the number 13,263?

mauro 03-27-2007 05:41 PM

Ya

Any idea what year 13,263 (11.014264) was made?

mauro 03-27-2007 05:55 PM

I will say 1973/74

davidkachel 03-27-2007 06:07 PM

Thanks Mauro.

Looking for a little info on this interarms luger. It has a 6'' barrel, 9mm, american eagle, grip safety and is in a Mauser leatherete box with the target, extra mag, cleaning rod , brush and tool in new condition. #11.012083. Does anyone know values and how many of these were sold with the fancy box? David Still seeking information.

Hello Mauro, I own a Swiss frame 9MM 4 inch in perfect condition. The serial number is 11.006776. I believe it is from the 1972 manufacturing year. I also have the box but nothing else. perhaps you can add this one to your data base.
Cordially, Craig

Craig,
is your 29/70 Mauser Parabellum marked on the frame?
I am trying to figure out when Mauser stop selling Parabellum with this marking.
Cheers,
Mauro

I have a 9mm, 6 inch barrel, Swiss type, marked 11.00297x and 11.00.297x. Looks like early production, pistol number 197x, if I'm reading correctly. One more Interarms Mauser Parabellum checking in here.:)

Hi Gene,
Thank you for sharing your serial number. It shall be useful for my database mainly if you let me know the last digit

Have fun
Mauro

Mauro, I too have one to share with you. It's 11.006970, Swiss type with a 4" bbl. Do you have any idea when it was made? It's not dated nor do I have any of the accessories to get the date from... :)
