Rich, you've only posted two pictures, both the same. Do you have any more?

You have pics in your album -

Is that the Luger you are selling? Does it include the holster in the album pics?

"Issues" needs to be explained. What are they? Is it the problem you described in your thread? -

http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=36510

$800 for a Luger that you admit may be unsafe is way too high.

If you are really intent on selling it, you would get more parting it out and selling the serialized frame to someone who needs one.

Not trying to start a discussion [which is prohibited] just trying to be helpful. ;)

It IS the same pistol.. holster etc. were sold a couple years ago.

After talking with “DZ” from above...this MAY not be as expensive to get fully functional/safe again as I thought.

Soo..my apologies gentlemen...I’m going to have Dave take a look at what’s needed on the thing. He’s local to me..no shipping etc...

I’d really like to keep it, but as mentioned not willing to spend a boatload of money to make it right.

If it turns out to be too much, I will probably re-offer at a reduced price.

Soo..Moderators..I guess please close this thread if that is policy.... thank you!

Why not have a mod transfer this thread to the Repair forum? I've never read about a Luger slam-fire before; would be good to know what caused this one... :)

I will let folks know what the diagnosis is, and hopefully the cure....

Thank you all..most helpful place here :{)

An update: Met DZ today with his parts kit in tow...apparently the firing pin itself... quite the hunk of machine work...was ground/worn/crappy. Procured a “new” one and will run some rounds thru it later :{)

And...the pistol functioned well thru 4 full magazines! No, I do not have 100% confidence as of yet..and may never- it looks like this worn pin was the issue.

I did not use the original mag as it appears to have issues I’ll perhaps address in the future.

One thing I did not mention as it is a minor concern- sometimes the action will not remain open after firing the last round. DZ pointed out to me the hold open lever. I’ll have to take a closer look at that part.

You can carefully remove the hold open by pulling up and back on it, taking care not to overstress the spring that operates it. Then you can clean underneath, making sure nothing is sticking.
