Dunno how I missed this thread - but prayers outbound from here as well. Goddess bless and all the rest!

Hi....
How did the surgery go? It was on the 5th?

John Sabato 01-18-2017 09:57 AM

Thanks for asking... Surgery to remove the lump actually took place on Monday of this week (1/16) and all went as well as can be expected. We are now awaiting the pathology results on the tissue that was removed to determine the next course of treatment, if any...

I will keep you all posted. Much gratitude for your continued prayers... It ain't over... till it's over...

Thanks John, although I don't come to the forum so often as before, I've wondered many times, but didn't dare asking. Keep my prayers going, and God bless to you both.

John
Hang in there old buddy. Prayers continue for you and your family. Your Friend. Bill

RShaw 01-18-2017 05:40 PM

Yes.... many continue to pray. Thanks for the updates. You're not alone!!

John Sabato 01-25-2017 12:04 PM

Update-and continued prayer is requestd.

Okay, the pathology results indicated that they didn't get all the cancer as was believed.

We meet with the oncologist this afternoon to discuss further surgical and treatment options. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated. I will keep you updated. Thanks.

RShaw 01-25-2017 03:32 PM

As mentioned, continued prayer is ongoing....
Every day is a new day. God knows what He's doing, and often works in ways we don't see until sometimes much later.
Seems easy to say... but we have actually a similar situation in both my wife's family, and in mine.

My heart sank when I read your latest post John, please rest assured that I, along with many other forum members will continue to offer our prayers for you and your lovely wife Peggy.

Very true. Well said Lon

Some good news for a change... The additional cancer cells found were in the tissues that were removed!

They just were not known about until the pathology results were completed and reported.

What this means is that the next step will be 6 weeks of radiation therapy which will begin in about 6-7 weeks.

NO Chemo is indicated at this point and the oncologist is confident that the risk of recurrence will be reduced to only 1/2% a year... (in ten years only a cumulative total of a 5% risk!).

I will keep all of you updated as time passes, but there will really be no changes until the radiation begins. Thanks for your continued prayers... it is obvious to at least me, and I am sure some of you that today's good report is product of your prayers...

God bless you all abundantly! YOU are all in MY prayers.

John, finally good news! Debby had breast cancer that was caught and removed. radiation for 10 weeks! Clean for over 10 years! God Bless! I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RShaw 01-26-2017 01:07 PM

Clean for 10 years?!! It's Party time!!
Ahhh very good news... nice to hear :)

cirelaw 01-26-2017 01:22 PM

Thank You My Friend!!There is so much we take for granted. Debby noticed a very small lump on her left breast. Unlike some in denial she saw her doctor and wound up now cancer free! I thank God every day for being here and able to have my love along side! She rescued me in Costa Rica during my stroke and coma!!! John we all stand behind you and a cancer free family!! And thank you John for your love and sharing. Your words and experiences will save many others! God Bless!

RShaw 01-26-2017 04:48 PM

When someone says "we take so much for granted," it is an indication that the person saying this is not one who takes so much for granted.

cirelaw 01-26-2017 05:50 PM

I am thankful for every breath I take after almost taken my last breath outside of good ole America in Jaco Beach, Costa Rico! Every day is a testament to God and His patience and forgiveness and my third and final wife bringing me home spend $10k to fly me home on an air ambulance while still in a coma. She deserves her first gun!

RShaw 01-27-2017 02:02 AM

Wow!! A clear demonstration of Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Sergio Natali 01-27-2017 08:07 AM

Thanks John for the very good news, I think you were blessed!
