A check went out in this morning's mail, sent to you (and made out to you), Jerry.

lugerholsterrepair 07-18-2016 11:58 AM

John & Bill X 3! Thank you Gentlemen all...This small effort has exceeded my wildest expectations..not really. Only met my expectations..which were high knowing who GT's friends are. K. Wilhelm called both GT and myself the best guys on the Planet..I KNOW GT is but I really KNOW who the best guys on Planet Earth are. They are listed on my Honor Roll. Those are the fellows who sacrificed, those who stepped up to HELP when asked. Took the time to read, to care and more importantly to act. I applaud you all. Words are inadequate to express the feeling in my mind and heart. Pride with being associated with such and Honorable group of Men. I Thank you all for who you are.

lugerholsterrepair 07-18-2016 01:59 PM

I thought this might come up and a very close friend asked me.."Just curious what the large letters and smaller letters on the HONOR ROLL list means. If this indicates size of contribution?"

NO not at all..It is an indication of my lack of computer knowledge and or laziness? I have spent the last few days putting together all this and part of it is transferring names from PP accounts to two different Forums.. I copy paste from PP which gives me one font..copy paste from an email gives me another type of font and writing a name in is another. Mostly PP is darker.

Size of contribution is meaningless to me. We give from the heart according to our blessings in this life. For some I know it is a financial sacrifice to give $10...I respect everyone's sacrifice..small or large.

I should have addressed this anomoly when I first recognized it may cause some questions but I was busy until now. Thanks Bill. I appreciate the heads up!

So no..rest assured everyone's contribution remains with me and me alone.Well, not really..Ellie knows but I have sworn her to secrecy! EVERY contribution, of ANY amount is such a treasure...I so appreciate all who contribute. Thank you.

Debby is mailing the Carbine sling to Tom and a check to you in the morning~ Thanks to all our families!

lugerholsterrepair 07-18-2016 05:12 PM

Eric, Thank you my Friend..You and Debbie are truly salt of the Earth..Very kind and generous. I appreciate it so much. I am certain GT will find all this a welcome relief and ease his mind somewhat. If that is possible.
Thanks, Jerry

Donation for gt's family

Jerry,
I just sent a donation for GT's family to your paypal account. Thank you for coordinating this.

Regards,
Ricardo Blanco (AKA Foxdoublegunner)

lugerholsterrepair 07-18-2016 09:50 PM

Ricardo, Many thanks my Friend! Your generous donation is much appreciated...Every dollar collected for GT's Wife and grand daughter will be well spent towards care and getting them back home to Phoenix. OH! And a new dog of course...If and when Jada can bring herself to facing that challenge..Thanks so much.
Jerry

wlyon 07-18-2016 09:53 PM

Jerry/Ellie

You say"you men are truly compassionate, caring and giving" True but you and Ellie stand at the front of the line. We are merely contributors you and Ellie started this and are doing all the work. Give yourselves a pat on the back. We all do likewise. Your friend Bill

lugerholsterrepair 07-18-2016 10:44 PM

Bill, Nah, I'm just a grouchy old moderator..Ellie is a Saint..she gets dragged into my schemes but she's usually good humored about it. Mostly cause I'm too dumb to do what she does. There's still a bit to do..She sent GT a sizeable amount..going to send another Tuesday. Then wait on checks and process those.

He wrote Ellie earlier today indicating he had managed to get a quick look at the Forums on a borrowed tablet. Said he was speechless, grateful and the Forums help would be vital..so you fellows have been a great part of helping heal his Family. Of course it is a small step but like GT said, a vital one at this point to give him some peace of mind.
I thank each and every one of you men who is making this possible. GT will have many more worries later but this is a good start to it all.
Thanks...

Jerry

A Very Proud Roll Call!

lugerholsterrepair 07-19-2016 03:15 PM

Hi Jerry, things are starting to improve, we will fly Jada home tomorrow with her mother, Carol will be sent to rehab in AZ by ground ambulance transport...She has a ways to go, but is improving more every day... Yesterday, a pure raven black cat ran across the street in front of us! I thought about it for a second and said, "you're too late you jerk! Made me laugh a little bit! we fight on! Give my best to all! til....lat'r.......GT

JD 07-20-2016 04:53 PM

I just donated via PP..... It's not much, but hopefully it helps......

lugerholsterrepair 07-20-2016 05:20 PM

John I Thank you very much! I am reminded of an old Dutch saying.."Many hands make for light work" If everyone on Planet Earth sent me just a penny I would be a wealthy man. The amount you sent was most generous and gracious. It is beyond appreciated.

Tom, I thank you as well..very kind of you both.

I have not yet today received any update on GT's movements but I am hoping both he, Jada and Carol or going towards Phoenix. I will post anything that comes my way as soon as I receive it.Anyone who has communication with GT is more than welcome to post it....

Thanks once again for the caring, kindness and generosity you guys have shown in this horrific time of crisis and injury. I can only hope that if I ever have my back against the wall...I have a group of men as steadfast as yourselves on my 6.

I applaud you all.

Jerry

yah, I got your back - even have a carbine in 9mm and a S&W 39 that would hep out in any situation.

Or a paypal donation, whichever was easier

but as they say, we'd probably be in jail together saying, now what just happened?

Wow Ed... a S&W Model 39? One of my all-time favorite carry guns... Double-action, Lightweight, 9mm, and did you know that you can use the Model 39 magazines in a P-38? ... You can even do the reverse if you take the time to appropriately cut the mag catch notch...

I rode over to the mailbox on my 4 wheeler this morning and suddenly my heart hurt. I opened the box and out spilled a large pile of letters..Many from Members who have not even contacted me previously. All from those of you who care. Like many of you it is difficult for my emotions to get a reaction but this did it. That feeling in your eyes, throat and heart that is pure emotion. Thank you is so inadequate but I am hoping all who read this know the depth with which I express it.

I took a lunch break and went to the range about 3 miles away. Carbine w/ trommel mag did not work right - can't figure out how to load it... The S&W came to mind last night because I wanted to take it out. It did great. The S&W 39 was my first pistol that fired more than a .22 and I sold it years ago. Picked up one that was made about the same time period a while back, really like it. Feeds almost anything. Will try some P38 mags in her.

DavidJayUden 07-21-2016 11:43 PM

What part of the loading process is giving you grief?
dju

lugerholsterrepair 07-21-2016 11:46 PM

Maybe not having a loader?

Curss 07-22-2016 09:31 AM

Jerry, I just sent a donation via PP! Would've done it sooner, had to wait for my paycheck to come in!

lugerholsterrepair 07-22-2016 11:08 AM

Christopher, You are a Prince! Thank you so very much. Kind and generous of you to do that. I believe it will be put to good use..Should hear from GT today I would imagine.
Thanks to all..Thanks again Chris..Much appreciated.
