Ron, The photo Fritz provided was quite unusual, split and sewn along the bottom. The previous one's I had observed were completely formed along the bottom. Molded so to speak.
The material has a plastic quality to it, opaque and when tapped sounds hard. I suspect both Ron's are onto the wear theory with some justification. This boot carries no weight and in reality receives very little wear. The stock iron just sort of floats around in it.I am certain that the stock iron, being as sharp as it is, was cause for concern. As for color, I too noticed most seem to be natural. As Tom noted, he has seen both red and blue.I don't know why they would bother to color them. Fascinating for those few of us who are interested. Jerry, did you photograph mine while you had them? If so you could post the photos, if not I'll email photos to someone to post.
Also, thanks for such a super job of knocking-off the attaching leather for me. |
Jerry,
Sorry, no police buckle. But I will be going to MAX @ end of month. I know I can find one there. Lemme know if you want me to grab one for you and what your budget is; also will get you a 173D Blazer patch if you want one (I am wearing mine in the pix of Chattanooga). Tom A. |
Jerry, what kinda police buckle you want?
|
Tom, George, I found one ....George, in case I don't get it, how many Police buckles are there? I was looking for a Nazi one. I am trying to put together a belt, Police Luger, and bayonet.
Let me know! Thanks, Jerry |

Jerry, at least eleven types of police buckles with the nasty Nazis.
Ed the difference between me and Smith is I'm lazy, he's a knucklehead. |
