Haven't been her for long time! Seems that every one is now re-inventing Georges Baby Luger. I have seen and handled 2 of the 3 known GL Babies some years ago! Not a big secret. Even Martz took credit for this and did very little of of the work. Not a big deal. I built first Baby more than 10 years ago. Have built 14 down thu the years as hobby. Retired now, but have a baby carbine with Manlicher full lenth forearm(16"bl) about 80% complete under construction for Me. No big accomplishment---just want new guys to know that some of us old Luger guys have been doing it for some years and that the "bring and brag" forum is not representive of the past 40 years. I was never was interested in being published in G&A or other publications. Just enjoyed making 14 owners of Baby Luger re-creations happy!

The first cut-down Babies that I'm familiar with, were made in the 1970s in Calif. by W. Dorflinger. He taught John Martz the luger basics. TH

I just received the 2005 Baby Luger back from Brian Powley engravers and I must say I am very excited about this pistol. Lots of engraving done very tastefully. Quite a bit of Gold inlay also. I have half a dozen pre blue pictures. Please email me at Thor340@aol.com if you would like to see them. I will email them to you.

Okay, pictures are being emailed today to those that asked for them.

Well I might as well jump in here. I have been asked by the Ameican Pistolsmith's Guild to produce the case for 2005 raffle gun. The case (with APG Logo laser engraved on the lid) has now been produced and delivered. I look forward to seeing it complete with Luger. Here is a shot of the case lid...

Good to hear from you Dok! Looks like you have survived all the hurricanes down your way... next time one passes near Burmuda, would you mind directing it SOUTH instead of at the USA :D

A really nice lookin' case Dok! For all the new folks who haven't been around long enough to know...

Let's hear from you more often Dok... Gonna be passing through Virginia anytime soon? I think I owe you a Steak Sandwich Lunch?

Hi John,

Next time I'm down that way, I'll hold you to that steak sandwich lunch. Should be by there in the not too distant future. Look forward to seeing you again.

Well the Baby (if I may call it that) for the APG raffle is done and has been in the hands of Ichiro Nagata who takes all the beautiful pictures for American Handgunner Magazine. I have not seen the pictures but am suspose to get a disc copy of them and as soon as IO get it and the OK from them I will see that they get posted. Ted, Brian, Hugh and Les did a great job and I would be hard pressed to believe that most of the forum members would not want a chance at this gem.
The gun has been returned and I know I am going to have a hard time giving it up and yes I am going to purchase a few tickets myself.

Neil
