Man am I wrong here, I went back and looked at the two complete cleaning rods I have, and there is a very small band of lets say "silver". The one drum only as I stated above is threaded, I assumed it was screwed in and and no need for solder. But with my glasses on there is a band of silver. Now I wonder why it was soldered as such and still threaded? I am sorry for posting such mis-information and will double check next time.
