Perhaps, the only good thing about this "new" cartridge will be the availability of new .312 bullets for reloading 7.65 Parabellum.

The 9mm Luger cartridge is the most widely used pistol cartridge in the world for a good reason; it works well!!!

Question:

How does this "new" case compare to the 7.65 (.30) French Long case?

Prediction:

This "new cartridge" will, most likely, join the ever-growing list of "new developments" to quickly fade away, due to redundance or down right uselessness

Sieger here,

Well, my prediction regarding this ridiculous cartridge has come true, and much quicker than I had expected!

Please see the July 2025 copy of Gun Digest, name of article, Dying on the Vine, pages 32 and 38.

It seems like we were correct in assuming that Federal was, indeed, trying to solve a problem that never existed and that the operating pressure of 52,000 psi was simply too much for most commonly available Automatics to handle!

Oh well.

Respectfully.

Sieger
