My prayers and understanding are with you. I am currently experiencing a similar circumstance with my wife. May the Lord's blessings be upon you and your family. Doug

May God soften your pain, and give you strength to go forward. I have been there, and know your pain.

Bill, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

In time, I hope that the good memories are the ones that will be with you.

Bill, So sorry to hear of this my Friend. I have lost the use of Ellie, my Wife for a year recently and one hardly comprehends what they do and mean to you..until something bad happens. ALS is a vicious malady. A good Friend has it and is managing..but for how long I shudder to think. Tough as heck on caregivers too. No fun to watch it happen and nothing you can do but provide what little comforts you can. Life is short..make it sweet.

Bill, sorry for your loss.
She will return in your dreams and memories.
You will see silly inconsequential things that will bring her back.

remember the good times, remember her not the disease

Very sorry for your loss. I'm glad she had such a devoted companion for so long. It reads that there were many good years spent together. I wish those fond memories may someday push aside your current hurt and hope that day arrives as soon as it can.

So sorry to hear of your tragic loss Bill. She appears to be a beautiful, fun loving partner.
May she Rest In Peace.

May the passage of time bring you a measure of comfort and peace.

My completely inadequate condolences. However, I'm a bit weird so I look at these things differently from most. So please accept this in the spirit in which it is meant: "May she dance in joy!"

That reminds me of this passage from Khalil Gibran's "The Prophet":

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

I don't know you Bill but I know your pain.
Jan 8th, 2017 2:12pm for me

Thats the day my life changed forever.
I spent all of 2017 crying and cursing God... wondering if life was worth going on.
I knew that she would be devastated if I followed her and my knowing this she saved me one last time.
It still hurts to this day and always will ... but the hurt does change over time as you accept thats the way life is.

Be well Bill because thats what she would have wanted.

Bill, I am sorry to hear about your loss. May the Lord be with you and your family.

I lost my wife 9 years ago. We were married 38 years. The grief can be undescribable. But, I was determined to recover and with time I did.
