I have this Cimarron Thunderer and it's beautifully made. I inherited this from my dad. It's not really my thing but I've had it out to the range several times over the years and I was impressed with the fit, finish, and performance. |

They are nice. I do actually have a beef with mine: The grip frame, trigger guard, and ejector tube are blackened zinc alloy castings. I'm not a fan of how the standard "plowshare" grip feels in my hand, and like the bird-head grip better--the style with the lump at the top that hits the web of my hand. I ordered a bird-head grip and grip frame for a Cimmaron Thunderer. It turned out to be virtually interchangeable, all the holes line up, and the grip frame is steel. I've been thinking about swapping out the trigger guard and ejector tube, as well, to eliminate my related complaint....although what I'd pay in parts would probably induce me to pass the EAA on and just get a Cimmaron Thunderer  |
