About 2500 1902 carbines were produced. It was a standard production item and did not have a GL proof. Only a few of the special 1902 presentation carbines were marked with GL.

I paid $15K for a 99.9 % gun about 7 years ago. Gun had fleece lined leather case and 2 oiler-type rods.It appeared to have never been fired. Only flaw was a tiny chip out of the edge of the butt plate. I sold/traded it to Evan Duke for a comb ination of cash and stock in a start up business venture. I believe that one day that carbine will be on record as one of the most expensive guns ever sold as I liked what the start up was doing, invested another chunk of change in it and firmly believe that it is poised for explosive growth. If it doesn't happen, well, it's only money.

Hi Eric here, i recenly purchased the 1920 luger carbine in 9mm, serial number #3710t, im interested in researching how many 9mm 1920 carbines were produced, I know Ralph has a 9mm, also with a 'v' suffix, Im trying to determine, if any besides these two 9s have been documented, Also I own the 1906 french luger that can be seen, thank to Tommy at 'phoenixivestmentarms.com' under his 'history' section, Also just email me, eric, at 'snookem13@aol.com' for closups of either Luger on this our nations' Birthday.

Here is one of your photos you posted over on Jan Still's Gun Board showing your "1920's 9 mm carbine" serial number.

Not to beat a dead-horse, but I think you paid good money for a nicely refinished luger that got some of its serial numbers "touched up".
