I think you will find the .30 carbine very pleasant to fire.

As to why you "broke" your fore grip-
-either your broke it , or
- it was already cracked- which is more likely.

Clean and lube before firing and check the bore for insects!:evilgrin:

I pushed the pin hard but I thing there was a long crack~ Now perfect!!
