I was watching it since the beginning, interesting luger.
Decided no need to bid against you, I hope it is a good one!

It's a super gun and all original.

Just wondering, just how many proof marks are on an Erfurt? More than ten? Eric

I believe you have one(? Artillery ?) - count them!

cirelaw 01-30-2017 11:54 AM

Thank You Don , I would have to take one apart to count them but the last time I did I lost a piece. I was lucky it was a unmarked DWM! There are 42 parts in the new model, many of which are hidden! Simply, Are all 42 Erfurt parts marked?

You could go through those 141 pictures and count the proofs on that Erfurt... :)

cirelaw 01-30-2017 12:25 PM

Rich, A simple question for those who may need to replace a particular part on an Erfurt. Are all parts Erfurt proofed to that gun?

RichSr 01-30-2017 03:43 PM

Eric, I think what Rich is saying is that you have the answer right in front of you. You have shown that you possess an extensive library on Lugers. Researching on your own should be easy for a former attorney. There are plenty of videos on the net which will teach you how to disassemble a Luger without losing any parts so you even have a "hands on" answer. Won't it be gratifying to do it yourself. "give a man a fish (answer) and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" :D

Rich my short term memory is non existent! Subdural Hematoma~ I can recall my NJ Drivers license when I was 17 "B7669-07024-56" But I forget what I had breakfast. My posts sometimes take me an hour or more! I thank God for being able to remember Debbys' name who actually saved my life! I'm doing the best I can and can type with only one finger. Thank God I am left with one working trigger finger for all of you the best I can~ All I ask for is some patience even and even when I'm repetitive! I promise I am trying to do my best!! I am treating my disability as a gift instead of a hinderence. Debby taught me to treat my disability as an ability! I had to relearn to talk after a tracheomony and type with only one finger!. Thank God every moment that I can read and understand our posts! Luv Ya All! I do welcome your posts, advice and treat them as another challenge. Debby and my 20 lugers are my world!! Our forum is more therapy than any doctor could prescribe. It took two years to be able to relearn how to walk. Debby wouldn't marry me until I could walk her down the isle unassisted! Thank You All! You have all have provided me the best healing and lugers that are far more healing than any drugs!the best drugs! Love Heals~~ Thank You All And God bless us all!

I have a 1912 Erfurt (as well as 1911 and 1913, and 1914 Erfurts) but I'm even lazier than you - I don't want to go downstairs and pull one out of the cabinet. :) I believe they are so-marked. I know grips, grip screws, and the "usual suspects" are marked. Springs aren't, of course. Front sight? I think so.

RShaw 02-03-2017 05:55 PM

Ohhh yeesss! I'm in a similar position- I agreed to purchase a 1918 DWM reblued shooter from a forum member here, but I have to wait until August before I can bring it home and put it on my permit. (Dutch law)

Details in the thread: "Found a nice shooter!" in the New Collectors Forum

RShaw 02-05-2017 01:26 PM
