The FAQ is a compilation of knowledge from all contributors here at the forum. I edit it for the forum, and have contributed some info also.
You have an "American Eagle Luger" in the M1906 pattern. I believe it's in 7.65mm Luger caliber. You also have a 1918 dated DWM P.08 Luger in 9mm Luger caliber. They both look to be in original finish and if all matching should be listed that way. I'm not a Navy expert, but I think that the note about the existence of sn 2214 refers to a list Norm keeps of known Lugers currently in collector's hands. Your Navy magazine is more rare than a normal military magazine. It is possible that someone would be quite happy to trade a proper original DWM magazine very close to your serial number and in good condition plus cash for your magazine. |
Thank you very, very much Eric. Not sure how I'd figure this stuff out on my own. That document is EXTENSIVE. Wowza....
Thank you for the IDing of them! I truly appreciate your time and effort. I'll send some good karma your way. I figure I can get an idea about pricing from GunBroker. Seem to remember the pricing being around $750-$1,200. As for the Navy magazine, would you suggest a retail price? For a original DWM? Thanks for letting me pick your brain. Again, I do think I would be lost, and would have ended up putting it back storage if you weren't helping me. Lots be to be thankful for on Thanksgiving, Scott |
Hi Scott,
I sent you a PM (private message) yesterday. You can access it by clicking on "Private Messages" in the top right hand corner of the screen. Regards, Norm |
