Even if you get them nice and shiny inside, you won't see much of a difference when you look through it. It will still be rough, just a shinier rough.

Since it's only .004" or .005", I had thought of a reamer one thousandth larger than the actual bore diameter. They're ~$25, and the next size up [at Travers] from .347" is .349" ...That would mean only taking .001" off each land...Wouldn't do anything to the grooves, but still...If you're selling a dozen or so and they're all sewer pipes, it might be worth it to pump up the price... :p

You may be able to get away with it as long as you're leaving some rifling... :D

Well,
After speaking with GT about replacing the barrel, I pulled the trigger and had GT install one of his custom bull barrels on the upper for me...Needless to say everything came out better than I expected...The 4" bull barrel not only "looks" correct, but has excellent balance...I was only able to test fire for function since it was about 29 degrees out, managed to get off about 5 clips worth...Just could not stop as it felt soooo good...I will see how it patterns when the weather warms up a bit...
I am so glad I went this route, now I have a great cool looking shooter...Please enjoy the pictures and my sincere thanks to GT and Danner ( rust bluing ) for making it all happen...

Yes, very nice for sure!

I like to shoot my bull barrel too! But it is 5" and has an adjustable rear sight!
Barrel also compliments of GT, rear sight I did myself.:)

I still need to send it to Charles for a full rust blue.

Nice work on the rear sight.
