100 rounds without a single issue is quite an enviable score. Sounds like a keeper. I have 3 regular shooters, a 1936 4" 9mm, a Navy and an Artillery, and while I've never sat down and shot 100 rounds of factory ammo thru any of them at one time, I doubt that they could pass that test.

GREAT buy, but see if the Iron Cross has iron in it with a magnet. I bought a Nazis 1939/1813 one, supposedly dug from the battlefield, at an arms auction and it is all aluminum. My understanding is that all real Iron Crosses have some iron in them.

I believe it is , it's easy for me to shoot as I have my own range in my back yard and I am surround by neighbors that know gunfire from my property is pretty much normal, I just had my first stove pipe and that I believe to be a magazine issue . this one will be a true keeper . really surprised since all of the mismatched parts but you never know .

Happiness to me is to purchase a reasonably priced Luger that is all there and reliable at the range. They are not all that common. I think you hit a home run, and it will never be worth less if cared for. Congrats!!

I might as well gloat while I have a chance... I used my 06 AE with 6" bbl in .30 Luger in the last 2 IDPA matches I attended. It ran like a watch!

Great to be getting reports of your adventures, Dan. Your contributions have been missed.

thanks, took finding what I tought was going to be just another mismatched luger to bring me back . turns out this shooter really is a great shooter .

sold off the medals and decorations , so if I was with the pistol it isn't now . could see no providence to it . I bought this pistol as a shooter and it has proved to be just that , now over 150 rds fired with only one ftf . it's a keeper

this one does. funny story or sorta . I guess thirty years ago or so a priest and chaplain at one of the medical centers brought me a luger to clean and check out . do not remember a lot about it , except it had a holster an extra magazines ,anyway cleaned it an gave it back to him . showed him how it functioned , somehow he managed to shoot himself in the foot , while in his office . at least he did not have to go far to get help . have not run into him in a long time , but he walked funny after that . be safe .

I don't consider the P-08 to be one of the safer designs, just a little pressure on the side if loaded and off GESICHERT... It can even fire with the slide off, which is not the ATF controlled part. Then we all saw the sad scene in Band of Brothers during the Battle of the Bulge... wanted one all the way from Normandy... then an accident.

Uh, just where can you press it to fire when assembled?
i mean other than the trigger.

I don't think so.

Disassembled, for sure- that is why the police insisted on the sear safety addition.
