There are different weight main recoil springs. The cycling dynamics are different in an Artillery. Watch the rear of the receiver (between the ears) to see if it is battering the back of the receiver. Use tape to see the intensity of marks left.

Lots of "myth" out there about main springs.

A valuable resource; I have it posted on my shop bulletin board. :thumbup:

I only wish that Jones had noted the later WW II springs as well. :(

In any event, this chart would make a good addition to the FAQ. ;)

I would not think any significant changes would have been made after the 1934 information listed.
