S and M, can mean many things. There is no simple answer.
As I said before, they must be considered in the context of the rest of the markings and features on your luger. Right now it is an oddly marked re-blued luger of unknown background and origin, JMHO. |
Maybe you will like these pics better turned the flash off.

The safety is also marked 01
|
are there any other internal parts, I can see the togle pin is also marked 01 that can be reached that should be marked.
|
Oh the bar that comes up when the safety is engaged is also marked 01
|
Yes, the above pictures are much better.
I think you have established that the pistol has matching numbers. I don't remember a picture of the right side of the chamber, and one without flash from the front of the frame. What does it look like with the grips removed? Keep plugging away, you are getting better. |

Honestly, that M has me stumped, and that is why I need as much info. as possible. But I understand your distain of the digital age. I sometimes long for the days before the silicone chip...

Is the extractor top broken off? It appears so in your photo...
|
Yes it is but I don't think I should replace it??
|
If you have plans of shooting it you should. This can be repaired, but may be cost prohibitive versus the overall value of the pistol.
Ask one of our parts gurus if they have an "01" marked extractor for sale. |
