David & John - appreciate your opinions - it's nice to know I'm not hallucinating!
Since Alan mentioned the '1920', I looked again and have to agree - the '1920' stamps I've seen are all pretty rough and should show at least some white metal, but this one shows none of that. It's just so difficult to evaluate from average quality pictures. And yes I think it's still a decent gun too, but If I was buying this based strictly on pictures, I would bid pretty low to mitigate the risk. It would be nice if Alexander could tell us what the price is, then he could get much better advice. As a very wise man once said: "There's always another gun". - Geo |
