Actually, I've measured the sight radius of both a P-08 and a LP-08 and found them very close.

My 1916 DWM LP-08 is accurate, but I really have to work on the handloading combinations to get it there. My byf 41 P-08 is incredibly accurate (out to 100 yards) and it's easy to load for.

My reading, including the original DWM booklet for the LP-08, shows it being used as a substitute rife for Machine Gun crews. This would make common sense, as they have plenty of weight and bulk to carry already.

It seems fine with lugers with attachable stock for the balance factor. It can be attached to the P08 however awkward I believe~ Eric
