Yes - the use of multiple horizontal columns forced usage of the horizontal (landscape) orientation for pages. They are designed to print one or two sided, with the binding along the long top edge.
The document is actually a set of long multi-cell tables with the data inside table cells. Flow control is automatic when building content and exporting the document to PDF format. I don't know how different printer drivers would deal with this if you attempt to override it. Each one may deal with it differently, depending of whether you have a "fill the page" option. That's cool. I just wanted to be sure. Lately I've seen some pics posted that when clicked/expanded, turn sideways. I think I've read that is a peculiarity of some cell phone camera or another. :rolleyes:
My printer does have a 'shrink to fit' option for web pages (and various %'s) but not for PDF's. I couldn't get it to turn for portrait. No biggie. Good to know though. :) |
I actually could print it on portrait on my printer, but it would have been tiny and the top and bottom of the pages would be blank! :rolleyes:
