An amazing find, Hugh. I crave an SAA, myself, but it will need to be a knock-off to be within my feduciary reach!

If you can find one, the USFA "inspector series" SAAs are amazing in their fidelity to the originals. I have both the "Henry Nettleton" and the "Custer battlefield", which has a factory aged finish. These are as slick in their operation as the originals!

I also own a USFA SAA, and could not be more pleased with it. The problem is that since USFA closed up shop some years ago, their prices have gone through the roof. Many times now, one can afford an original Colt SAA over a USFA SAA. The USFA quality is every bit as good as the 1st and 2nd Gen. Colt, and better than some of the 3rd Gen models. The current Colt SAA appear to have much better quality than the early 3rd Gen handguns.

Hugh,

I've just seen his post, so my congratulations are a bit late, anway I don't think you can find a much better S.A. revolver than that.
A beautiful acquisition indeed!

Shoot safe.

Sergio
