Whats the tell sign from being reproductions vs originals? On originals the pin wouldnt have left any mark at all?

On your magazines, the ones marked with "2/1000" are post war manufactured magazines made by Haenel Schmeisser (Ernst Thalmann) for the Volks Polizei in East Germany.
They have considerably less value than original plastic bottom FXO E/37 marked grips, even though they are all machined in the same configuration. The 2/1000 grips have sold recently for about $85. If the E/37 FXO grips are in original finish, and have not had any stampings or modifications added (blank bottom plastic) they are, indeed, worth $200-$250 in excellent condition. Since they may have been all sourced together (and have accompanied DDR reworks), the FXO magaiznes will need close inspection. Marc |
