Eric,
In post number 15, you show an open pouch, full of ammo with a tool fitted into a pocket on the right, upper, "lid" side of the pouch. I don't know if this is your pouch or you sourced the image elsewhere. In any event, your pouch should have the small sleeve to hold this tool. |
I've Got To Commend You On Your Knowledge!
Its not there but I see where it should be!! My new mission. Can you tell me what it looks like? Eric

Dimensions of the 30-40 Krag are pretty much the same as .30-06 (1903 Springfield) except the Krag round was rimmed and the Springfield round was rimless...
|
John Thank you all for your opinion. I also need the 'tool'. Its like a Pandoras' Box!!

The Krag cleaning tool was meant to be carried in the buttstock, so the tool that was stored in the ammo pouch is a combination takedown tool. You are looking for the three bladed tool that is in this photo.

Ingenius, do you have suggestion where I might find one!!
|
Try the typical parts houses; Sarco, Gun Parts Corp, (Numrich Arms) and IMA.
There is also a Krag collector's website. |
You continue to impress me!
