Yes, it is held in with a screw. I took it apart and removed disc. No markings at all.

Pic below is a 38 S&W from my cartridge collection, compared to a 9mm Parabellum...

My 1970 Lyman 45th Edition Reloading Handbook lists 38 S&W loads of 121 gr cast bullet w/5.0 gr Unique and 133 grain cast bullet w/4.8 gr Unique as both developing over 1000 fps...that's pretty close to 9mm military loading (back then)... :thumbup:

Thank you for posting your new snubby! I have never seen one of those before, and find it most interesting, to say the least. I had an old box of English 380/200 ammo for many years, but a friend told me that he had his father's revolver (breaktop) in that caliber, so I made them a present to him. I don't know if he ever shot the revolver or not. Do you plan to ever shoot your revolver?

I was browsing Midway and noticed that they have several brands of 38 S&W...From some of the comments, it seems to be popular for Cowboy Action Shooters...Remington has some that looks fairly mild...

Its more about the lack of loadings than the actual power. There are no really decent defense loads available for the .38 S&W. and I would not want to carry handloads due to liability.

Probably due to the large number of top-break revolvers which are old and not 'robust' enough to handle hot loads... :(

The one i own seems to be able to take out any threat you may encounter from any zombie televisions. Beyond that who knows, actualy a very pleasant round.

There's a Ten X 150gr. flat point bullet that looks interesting, too bad it's only at 600fps. If it wasn't for the liabilty thing that bullet with more power behind it wouldn't be too bad of a loading.

I do plan to fire it at some point if I don't trade it off first.

I guess they're not as rare as some sites say...Besides the one(s) on GB, there's two on GA...Here's one of them...
