Are the numbers you find cosistant each year or are they declining?

I believe that one "gold standard" requirement for a test eagle, since they were test guns supplied for the US government and NOT regular imports, is that the GERMANY stamp on the front of the frame, demanded by import regulations is NOT on the test eagle frame. This would put, by definition, the so-called "test eagle" above NOT a test eagle.....end of discussion!

I totally agree with you there. Cause mine looks just like him and a lower Serial number except for the take down lever. That particular add started making me woner if mine was. But I came to the conclusion it aint. But its interesting how mine has the peep sight on the rear toggle

Herb, there are scores, if not hundreds that were NOT Test Eagles and NOT stamped with GERMANY

I guess he figured he was beating a dead luger. He finally pulled. He should get rid of those funky grip and sell it for what it is. If he did how much would you ask?
