Well, for Swiss shows regulations are strict, gun sellers are registered ones and the police also has an own stand at the spot. Show fee is high and people do expect something back from that.
I've been around there for many years and all people (except few as noticed) do know me and have no problems with me taking pictures, especially when I do make my clip shortly before the start of the show with no customers around. Guisan.:) |
I seem to find more tresures at an unorganized show like the LUGER PICKERS

It's a very good show, I lived in Lausanne in the mid 90's and would always pick up some nice pieces there. Looks like a lot more moderns stuff there now than there used to be. The other good one is in Luzern in the spring.
http://eventful.com/events/internati...01-038728264-1 To your point Ron, quite a few US dealers used attend the show to buy, Mike Morris, B Simpson, among others used to attend regularly, but given how strong the Swiss Franc is against the US$ these days ( it was $1$ being worth 1.7 CHF back then, now only worth about .9 CHF, the last time I looked) I expect that less folks make the trip now.
