A good friend was in artillery in Nam in the early years. His hearing is stll ****ed up! I hold you men in the highest esteem. Our Mint has finally come out with commerative medals. His birthday was last week when with presented one to him. It really touched him. We can do enough. No war was disliked more and took it out on our own men.

... my view at lunchtime every workday...

Large building on the right is the Department of Agriculture (Utilities building)... a commercial office building on the left... I think you all know the white "pointy" building in the background... and the low builiding in front of it is part of the Treasury buildings...

I love this town!

Small back yard in a residential area. Due to the population density ground prices are ridiculously high, which in turn creates relatively small building plots.

But sometimes we get some new guests in the back yard.

My backyard after Hurricane Rita:

And after Hurricane Ike:

The road to the house after Ike, my road is a private road 1 1/2 miles long from the highway to the house, I have sole responsibility for maintainence; there were 100 trees down across it after Ike, some of them bigger than this:

Near Conifer Colorado:

First two are from the deck in winter.

Last one is on the way to Glenwood Springs. NOT photoshopped! Natural colors. A big storm was right behind this.

Really beautiful. Do You give tours?

cirelaw 05-19-2011 01:34 PM

I really miss the snow. I used to flyfish the yellowstone. I was fishing the river, I looked up across from me was a monster moose, no simple bullwinkle. I stook still. He took a drink and was on its way. That certainly put my meager life into perspective!
