Mighty expensive shooter! Other than the mismatched extractor and the non-original front sight (which is found quite frequently on these early guns), your gun is in excellent condition. The 9mm 1906 production is relatively small making these guns a prize for Luger collectors. Even in its less than original condition I would guess its value is in the neighborhood of $2500 plus or minus.

The breechblock is an Imperial proof mark, applied to military guns upon passing the power-proof test. Its presence suggests the breechblock may not be original to this gun.

the previous owner of the gun was more than happy to take the gun back,Ron I can understand your point of view,but original parts is a must for me ,
