i look on sites like fgs and simpson and find lugers in the same condition being sold at 2100+ but people are offering 900-1300. why is this?

My guess is that you are seeing guns LISTED for $2100 plus, not guns SOLD for $2100 plus. Review Gunbroker.com sold listings. Then subtract fees, etc.
But the bottom line is that if you feel that my (our) estimates are too low, then by all means ask more. Certainly won't hurt my feelings if you make a bundle on it, just makes my stuff worth all the more.
Good luck.

Ok thank you for the final advise

Half,
Remember you're selling wholesale no matter where you sell. The big dealers are selling retail. They have to cover overhead, expenses, and make a profit. You see similar guns listed for $2100. That's not what they are going to give you for it. Subtract 20-30%

So let's say for instance that $1100-1200 is a fair price for your's. You can sell it for that to a collector or a retailer. Your choice.

Simpson's and FGS always ask more that the general market value of the pistol. They get it. I know from experience. But, sometimes they have things you may never get another chance at.
