Who was arguing that cartels don't buy guns in the US??
I rest my case... http://www.aolnews.com/crime/article...order/19502294 |
Maybe before we jump to conclusions,we should get some more information?:nono:
MY experience with AOL news is that they have a decidedly liberal bias. I can remember a AOL story about a mom who bought her son a arsenal of automatic weapons! They turned out to be all air soft guns! Who knows, maybe this so-called cache of AK 47s had just arrived from Mexico instead of going to Mexico??? Bob :bigbye: |
I don't want to get into a long drawn out debate but, the vast majority of weapons are coming from Guatemala. Guatemala is the transfer point of weapons from VietNam (M16's), China (AK's & RPG's) and Nicaragua (HK91's, AK's & handguns) to name a few.
The US Gov. will NOT release serial numbers on any weapon confiscated because most originated from our own Gov. which were given to foriegn military's. It would also implicate other country's as well. Gun Laws and penalties have slowed US guns travelling South to a snails pace. Gun show dealers are more careful and leary of what they sell to whom nowadays and the majority use the background check system. This was put-out in the media by the BATF and FBI a couple years ago. Side Note:::147 AK's (Semi Auto) and 10K rounds is nothing. My collection at one point was larger. It's like pi$$ing in the ocean. Cartels are receiving tens of thousands of weapons and millions of rounds of ammo yearly coming from elsewhere. |
