A photograph taken many years ago (50+) from the Harry Jones archive shows the Aberman .45 Luger (sn 2). The chipped grip shows in this old photograph. (page 431 (top) Central Powers Pistols)

"Gee, how I would love to have a Luger named after me! Regards, Norm"
In the spirit of this forum. Henceforth and for all time, let it be known this Luger shall be chistened "Norm".:order: |
Ron, I'm at a loss for words. A Luger named after me! And that long barrel is so appropriate. Thanks, Norm

See Central Powers pages 424-435 for correct serial information on the gun in the Norton Museum it is not serial number 5.

What is the Norton Museum?
I have been many times to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena CA and it has no guns on display. Thanks Bob |
It's listed now. Estimation 500K - 1M. Current bid is 240K. Sound like buying a house in California.

There sure is a cornucopia of Mauser C96's for sale at this GMA auction! Where is that drool emoticon! Bob |
I run out of money. Unlike Uncle Sam, I cannot simply print this thing. GMA and Buller could be restless, but I need a breath and have to control the pace.
But through some arrangement, I did get Buller's 6-shot CH. Who knows what will be in next session? === [Edit] Having said that, I like the French dealer marked prewar SRH in this session. Struggling and torturing myself in mind. Probably will skip though, it's still a prewar small ring 140m/m after all. But I like that marking. You see, struggling like this. |
I sold a few guns to raise fund for a C96 lot (really nothing in this kind of auction). It goes too high to chase. Say good-bye and wait next session. Good news is that I don't have to sell further :) Breathing.
