Nice find. I'd keep everything. Don't be in a hurry to 'recoup'. As for the barrel; don't be afraid to pass a brush down it, but do it from the breech end. It is amazing how well they clean up.

I field stripped the Luger tonight and I realized that the firing pin has no markings on it. I expected it to be numbered. Is that normal?

I would get a new mag button from G.T. here on the forum......just for the one odd one.

Tim,
Your firing pin is correct. Commercial firing pins are not usually numbered.

I would not worry about the bore. I have usable pistols with much worse.

I like that holster. Nice shape. I generally have no use for holsters, but that one would make a great static display.

Price was excellent. BTW: MecGar mags are great for the casual trip to the range. I have several. Well made, reasonably priced, reliable. I should buy stock in the company...

You guys were right! I shot 8 rds yesterday and i'm in love!
Accuracy that made me look good...and that's no easy task!

Will the MecGar mags work with .30 luger? The site only says 9mm.

lugerholsterrepair 03-09-2010 02:50 PM

Tim, There is no difference in magazines. The body size is the same. Only the bullet diameter is different.
A 9MM magazine will work in your .30
