Definitely an a-block 1920-dated DWM with what looks like Weimar Dove/ArA4 proofs. Has police sear safety but no apparent mag safety. Matching mag. A very nice Luger.

I presume that since you haven't mentioned it, there is no apparent marking on the front grip strap. However, is there any evidence that there may have been one that was ground/buffed off? This evidence would be a rough finish or perhaps the remnants of an old stamping. Often, the periods from an old marking remain.

I've examined the front strap carefully and can find no evidence of any markings and only what looks like holster wear near the magazine well.

I agree, this is a 1920 "dated" Police Luger, and not a "1920" property stamped Luger... Nice job finding this for the price you paid... a real piece of history for a bargain!
