Another Hero passes...

Dear Friends,

It is with great regret that I must inform you of the passing of one more of our WW2 veterans. My father, John Sabato (Sr.) passed away at 12:50 on Friday, June 21st... He had turned 87 on Monday of this week. He was surrounded by his family when he passed to the next life... this is an end to an era in my family. He was the last of his generation... A recipient of the Bronze Star for valor and two Purple Heart Medals, and a battlefield commission to 2nd Lieutenant.

He was loved, feared or respected by those who encountered him in this life... His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins will mourn him for a very long time. He was my personal hero.

Thanks to you all for your prayers, thoughts and words of comfort during this difficult time... I can't express in words how much your comfort and friendships mean to me.

I will be silent for a time while my family mourns their loss and makes arrangements for the distribution of his estate according to his wishes... please bear with me until I can freely return to my post here among you.

kind regards and may God bless each one of you.

-John

John,
There are no adequate words. It is fitting to morn his passing, but also rejoice in the life he had and the life he gave to the ones he loved. Our prayers are with you and your family.

John,

Surly there are far many more heros where he is now than here on this earth.

God be with you and your family.
