Go to a receiver sight and you will be amazed at the difference. A small aperture is needed for target shooting, and it really sharpens up the front sight the same way that stopping down the aperture of a camera lens gives the picture more depth of field. |

You are so correct! I love to shoot my K98k Mauser, but the rear sight makes it difficult. I just have to take my time and chose the shot. I still keep them within about 6" at 200 yards. With my M1A and the rear peep sight, I can do better. A couple of week ago I shot standing with a friends M1A and hit the 9 ring at 200 yards. Not to bad for an old fellow, ha, ha. Marvin |
