Crown over letter stamps on the grips make no sense. That is a German military inspector/acceptance stamp, the use of which considerably post dates a 1900 model. The only conceivable donors of military marked grip safety grips that I can think of would be a 1902 or a 1906 German Army test piece, and I don't even know if they were marked.

Hi Ron,
I have asked the new buyer to send me close-up photos when he has the pistol home...to show more detail of the grips. I am 80% sure I saw the Imperial/Crown stampings...but lighting in the shop wasnot the best...I did use my loupe on them... |
