Perhaps I could have been clearer, I am willing to entertain offers, and will give preference to board members, which is why I have posted this here.

I have owned 3 HP marked guns, and sold another; some in nicer shape, some worse. I will have to look, if there is a HP marked magazine, then it might be worth $1500, but this is a specialized gun, only those who know that the ground stock lug will fell there is value in it.

I imagine $1200-$1300 is realistic for retail.

And those two you listed, were those Asking prices or realized prices? With holsters, or without? With matching magazine or without?

And trust me, police guns don't sell as fast as army guns, they just don't....

So, post it on the trader section, with a price or list it on an auction site with a dollar and no reserve and you'll see the market value :)

People (like me) who might be interested if they saw the salient points laid out for them aren't interested in chasing "here and there on the board"...

At least post links to the already-posted pics using the bracket-IMG codes...(Email me if you're unsure how to do this)...

A Luger with a ground-off stock lug isn't going to sell well on Gunbroker or AuctionArms...

At least here (or on Jan Still's site) there are those who are interested in these butchered Lugers...

I have copied the postings from the 2005 thread.
